"Hot car for a night on the town!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

A little condensation in rear taillight.

Transmission is shifting weird.

General comments?

I love this car! I'm not a big fan of the PT Cruiser, but I sat inside at the dealership and I loved it!

The interior is amazing.

Seats are nice and firm.

The speakers have great sound quality and has amazing bass!

The gas mileage is great!

I had a 2007 PT Cruiser as a temporary rental for two weeks when my car was written off in a car accident.

It was underpowered on the freeway and had very poor gas mileage. According to it's own internal computer 14.5l/100k which to me was roughly DOUBLE of what my car used in gas.

Why are the window controls on the center panel and not on the door?

You needed to plan on how you pass when on the freeway as it runs out of steam pretty quick.

Rear hatch didn't have any sort of door mechanism, just yank on it and if it's unlocked it will pop open, if it's locked, be prepared to dislocate your shoulder.

MP3 input is a nice touch on the radio, but can't they think of a better place to put the plug? why not route it into a cup holder or somewhere close?

Drove like a minivan, although I did come from a sports car before.

My rental was white. It was ugly. I called it an igloo on wheels. I should have taken the yaris as a rental instead.

Looks like your rental PT Cruiser was in bad shape because the stock 2.4L engine puts out 150hp, which I find to be more than enough for passing on the freeway. If you have 2 or more big passengers, it will cut your power, but this is would happen with any 4 cylinder car.

I have a 2007 PT Cruiser and I absolutely love it! It has plenty of power for me to pass safely on the freeways, very cool interior. I would say the only drawback would be the hatchback. You have to yank on it fairly hard to get it to open. I average about 23 or 24 miles per gallon gas mileage. If you are looking for a cool funky car this would be one worth looking into.

2007 PT owners... please drop me a line. I am considering a 2007 PT but hearing very different reviews; GREAT mileage - terrible mileage... no problems... lots of problems. Enough passing power - no passing power. Your input please. scottpmckone@hotmail.com.

I've owned my 2007 PT Cruiser Limited since December of '07. I was not considering a PT at all (Honda Civic, Accord were my preferences) until I test drove one.

The relative comfort and utility of the interior were big selling points as was the price.

I have had no problems with my car since the purchase. There are a few issues to learn to live with with this car, however: fuel mileage is not as good as one might expect from a four cylinder; The normally aspirated engine is just not very efficient. It is underpowered from a standing start and not very good on gas. This car is better suited to highway cruising, however. I have had no problems finding passing power and the car is surprisingly comfortable on road trips. In terms of comfort, I found this car surprisingly more comfortable than the Civic and this car has made me more aware of other Chrysler products; most notably the Sebring.

I've been happy with this car... its comfortable and it still looks like nothing else on the road, save for the copycat Chevy HHR. While I'd like my next car to be a bit bigger, I would consider buying another Cruiser.

Gas mileage on mine is 28 mpg both city and highway combined. Versatile interior configurations are a plus. Plus its quirky styling means it won't look dated anytime too soon either.

My only big beef is that it needs more power on the highway for passing. I'd hate to think how bad it would be with the car full of passengers. My wife's equivalent engine in her '03 Toyota Camry is what this car needs. A four banger that thinks it's a six.

Oh, the one quibble is that lack of refinement on finish. Especially on the plastic trim. I can't believe those pieces passed quality control! I like to point it out to people when I can. lol.

I have a PT Convertible 2007. I love it!! Gas mileage could be better, but rides like a champ. No problem passing on highway. Fun to drive. I also read the reviews and I think I got a great unique car.
