Engine flooding has gotten me towed to dealership at least 10 times in past 4 years. First one happened 5 months after purchase.
Had a recall related to computer board adjustment, I still am not sure what that fixed.
First my rear right light seal was replaced and today I am having the left rear seal replaced (Condensation).
Motor Mounts replaced six months ago.
Second set of tires.
Engine replaced exactly one year ago (after several trips
to dealer for service related to engine failure)
Currently having Spark plugs and wire replaced (not covered by 4 yr / 50K warranty... of course!!)
Minor problems: left passenger visor replaced, Glove Compartment replaced, console cover replaced - broken latch, plastic covers on bottom of front seats broken off, Brakes started squealing at 25K had replaced.
I stopped by the Mazda dealership as an afterthought after settling on a Nissan 350z that I had just test driven...bye bye 350z..hello zoom zoom.
Once I saw this car, I was awestruck, I thought it was absolutely gorgeous.. a classy chassis with a sleek line that was stunning.
The test drive took me for a look, I never imagined the turn capabilities and the balance. I loved it, the engine did not impress me at first, but I found it to be quick as a cat without the loud noise.
Everywhere I drove it, after the purchase, I got positive comments. It is a real head turner and I was very happy.. at first.
Once the problems started, I tried to minimize because I loved the car so much. That love turned to angst as I found myself repeatedly stuck in my driveway or other locations (not planned) trying to understand why my car would not start.
I got to be on a first name basis with several tow truck drivers. Now I understand why the manufacturer provides a free roadside service. You DEFINITELY will need it.
Now after repeatedly not being able to pull the plug, I am calling my bank to make sure I am not upside down on the car and begin to make arrangements to get something.. probably not as sexy.. but also not as likely to leave me by the side of the road.. standing next to a good looking car... waiting on the tow truck.
WOW, I feel like I have told your story myself, almost to the tee! I wrote the review "it sure was pretty", read it... OUR PROBLEMS ARE EXACT!
