"Nice interior, don't buy one if you need to go anywhere"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Air con never worked.

Work needed to maintain the car - brake discs, exhaust, other such routine things came to about £4000 a year.

General comments?

Very tail happy for such a slow car - breakaway is sudden, difficult to catch.

I believe you when indicating that it's a pig to maintain and unreliable, that's what I keep reading about the Biturbo generation. But slow...? I've been in one once and no, it just isn't. 0-100 kph in 6,5 seconds is quick enough for me!

£4000 a year... You could almost have gotten a new one for that money. Must have been a total lemon. I've kept a 228 for 8 years, and averaged £1000 a year including replacing exhaust for stainless, new catalytic converters, totally refurbished original wheels, changing the timing belt, repainted hood etc.
