I have only had the truck for 1 month, 1000km.
Serpentine belt had to be replaced.
Rear brake drum had to be adjusted.
Passenger side mud flap fell off. Warranty wouldn't cover it; they want $100 to replace it.
Plastic clips on interior had to be pushed back in.
I like the size and style of the truck; it is a good pickup and 4x4.
However, the overall build seems cheap to me. It has had a few problems already, and its still new. The mudflaps are plastic and fragile. The console seems cheap; I wouldn't want to lean much weight upon it. Front bumper around the 2 edges/corners doesn't look flush, and may be easy to hang up on something. Gas guzzler.
Think that's bad, Try wrecking it, my cousin has an '06 model, side swiped a guardrail and tore the entire left side up @ 25 MPH!!! Put a hole in the panel behind the door!! Cheap metal. Insurance company had it fixed @ a Mazda dealer, you can tell it was wrecked. Front end isn't flush like you mentioned, looked like crap before the accident, but looks worse now!!
Should have bought a F-150. Much stronger build. PS. Mazda is a Ford Ranger. Ford owns Mazda.
