1975 Lancia Beta Coupe from North America - Comments

I bought this car brand new in 1975.

The dealer told me that it was comparable to the 911 Porsche back in that day.

The car couldn't get out of its own way. It plain sucked.

I had just sold my 1973 911 Targa, and I was interested in this car, from being on a trip to Italy, but the dealer told me that it was just like the Betas from overseas.

The bottom line was he ripped me off for $7,500.00 plus tax. I never went back there and bought another car from them, just because they lied about the car just to make a sale.

Considering that a Porsche 911 would have cost $2500-$3000 more (a huge difference in 1975 dollars), one would have to wonder how you bought that line about a Beta being comparable, not to mention the obvious differences between the two...
