"Great little car!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Replaced T-connector of radiator to steel.air-con vents directly under sun ray.. expensive labour when replacing clutch. needs oil-catch tank if driven hard.. the oil can splurt into carburettor/engine! The ride is harsh like any k-car despite a rather soft-setting from factory..after-market dampers&springs wd help. prone to hydroplaning due to its lightweight.. but so is any other car of this size! 'COLLISION-SAFETY'..i dare not think 'bout it.. so lets practice 'safe-driving'!

General comments?

The ride&feel reminds me of my first car-the Mini 1000.I'v bought a bigger new car recently but I'm keeping my faithful mousedeer.. for a long time. The odometer reads over 230,000kms today.. not just 'road-driving' but includes 'track days' (back in '99-'00) at the shah alam circuit!despite some thrashing.. only replaced the valve-seats last year!overall the car's still presentable (12yrs old) >i dun care if it will ever be a classic like the Mini..it's 'my classic'and I luv it for it's simplicity! To be fair.. the tiny 850 engine is powerful for it's size, reliable&easy to rectify.. being old-school.it fires-up at 1-2clicks every morning&i use it more often than my new car, it's my favourite city car.

In the UK, the Kancil was called the Nippa. Our Nippa 850EX was great-easy to drive, reliable and economical.

The proven Japanese engineering made this little car a very good little town car-as long as you don't crash it!!!

One of the locals here has a Nippa 850EX with 200,000 MILES (300,000 KM) on it-still runs well but a bit untidy now with peeling paint. Starts every time!!
