"A car with refined manners, but potent if called upon!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

1 battery in 4 years.

1 alternator in 4 years.

1 brake job.

General comments?

I love this car because it is FAST and handles like it's glued to the road!

Very comfortable on trips as well as easy on fuel.

Has been VERY reliable and fun whether cruising the freeway or puttering about town.

Still a head turner even though it is 8 years old. Great body style!

Just wondering if your paint is fading because mine is fading really bad on the wing.

I own a 93 Z34 and the paint is still shiny, but I think that before I acquired it a couple of weeks ago it had been repainted. But I also own a Formula Firebird and the paint is gone from the wing. If you have it painted, make sure the money is spent on a good flex agent for the paint and that the highest quality paint is used to ensure bonding and life of the shine.

Will a GM 350ci engine fit into a 92 Z-34 engine well without reshaping it?

I may only be 17, but I bought my 1993 Lumina Z34 two years ago. It is a great car and not very seen around town. I have had some electrical problems, brake problems, my A/C is shot, but it is very fast and still turns heads. I love my factory stereo and the loud exhaust. The acceleration is incredible and it handles very well. I love this 9 year old car, but I wish they made cool accessories for it.

June 30th 2002.

I purchased my 1993 Lumina Z34 1 month ago. The acceleration is unbelievable. Though it only has 75,000 miles on it and I got it at a steal for 3860.00.For a car originally designed to have 275horsepower it is still impressive for only having 210 horsepower. I have already got some wins in it. It is definitely a head turner. The paint is spotless and shiny, almost looks wet. The only thing that annoys me is there is hardly any after-market hi performance bolt ons. The only way to get horses is to give it Nitrous, K&N filter, high flow converter and exhaust, and computer chip upgrade. Other than that good luck. My car is my baby, but it gets put to the test when someone tries her. And with those upgrades you will be lucky to get 10 to 20 extra horses unless you are a brave soul and add Nitrous.

My name is Jeff. I am 18 years old and own a 1993 Lumina Z34. I bought it last year with 54,000 miles on it for $6500. I love this car. I too am upset about the lack of after-market products for it, but it is still an amazing car. When you need it to it can take down most of those hopeless imports that you see everywhere you go. If anybody out in Internet land has any suggestions on what I can do to make my car have a more throatier noise or perform better e-mail me at DrexDragons@aol.com. Have fun riding!

I just purchased a 1993 Lumina Z34, and I am amazed at how it handles. It literally hugs the road, and the looks are still sharp. I love those ground effects and hood vents! I just wish it didn't have those plastic lights! Can I get those replaced with glass? Any help, please contact me at mmartinez@discmakers.com.

Thanks!

I am 19 and I bought my 94 Z34 3 years ago with 50,000 miles on it, I truely love my car for the way it handles and the power that it puts out, the only complaints that I have about my car is how there is no cup holders in it, the brakes have too many problems, and the cost to repair the timing belt and alternator. The Z34 definitely will blow most of the imports away no problem.

I recently bought a '92 Z 34 with 129000km (Canadian), about 78000 miles. I love the cars' performance and looks. I have a 5 speed, and I wonder how rare this option is. I have only seen one other around, and only heard of a few others on the internet. This transmission is mostly great, except, second gear will grind a little under hard acceleration (full clutch). The slave cylinder was just replaced, and the transmission shop could find no problem. Any suggestions? Otherwise the car is a great compromise between performance and fuel economy/drivability.
