2000 Chrysler Sebring Coupe LX from North America - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Car has developed a rough idle after only 3500 miles. Took it to a "5 Star" Chrysler service center and was advised that I will have to wait for a software upgrade from Chrysler because they could not find anything wrong with their diagnostic equipment. In the mean time, I have to deal with a brand new $24,000 car that jumps and acts as if it is going to stall at red lights. Tried all the gas additives and combinations, with no success.

General comments?

My wife and I own a 2000 Sebring JXI. The car has 5600 miles on it and a very rough idle after warming up. We just returned from a 5 star dealer after being told that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, although they were able to recreate the symptom. They suggested that it was filled with "bad" gas. It appears that if the "computer" can't find anything to replace that they do nothing until the "computer" tells them what to do. My plan is to have the gas take drained and cleaned. If the problem persists then the problem once again belongs to the dealer.

We had this problem with our 99 LXi and we had to replace a valve that had been damaged.

I had this problem with my 2000 sebring lxi and had to replace the fuel injectors and it fixed it, but those parts are about $120 a piece, and my dad did the labor.
