Was a great family car, but had too many problems.
Purchased in 1991 for ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Had only owned our first Caravan for a year and were not aware of problems that come with these cars.
ALL WHEEL DRIVE option was very nice. However, the transmission had problems from day one, refused to shift into second, had the transmission serviced for this problem more than once. Transmission finally went at 124,000 miles. I have been told we are lucky it lasted past 60,000.
I hate to tell you this, but your van did not have all wheel drive it was front wheel drive. The car has no drive axel. All it is is a sticker. They still do it today.

I also had a shifting to second problem. After replacing the transmission the thermostat was replaced and corrected the problem. Seems that the transmission has to be a certain temp in order to work properly.

I also had a Caravan all wheel drive. They are in fact an all wheel drive model, you would know this if you ever drove the van in the snow.
