1990 Acura Integra LS from North America - Comments

"Best car for the money!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have replaced, all this about the same time (158,000):

The battery.

Both front axles.

Tie rod ends.

Ball joints.

Control-arms.

Front springs and struts.

Front rotors.

Whole exhaust.

New clutch.

Rear rotors.

Rear calipers, and after all this the total damage was $2,400.. I don't think it was a bad idea to sink that money into this car, it should last another 150g's.

General comments?

It runs great, I love it!! As a matter of fact the clutch is being put in right now... and I can't wait to see the difference in performance... (clutch has slipped since I got the car) hehe... I drove it like that for about 10,000 miles.. still wouldn't die!!! THANK YOU ACURA! It's a bit expensive to fix, but worth it..

Car still needs minor rust in the driver's side wheel wells fixed, and that's about it..

Wow that's a lot to say... phew!!!

Anyone want to comment or ask some questions.. Please e-mail me, I'd love to hear some other Acura stories..

I just purchased a 1990 acura integra gs. Needed a bit of wear and tear damage, it's an automatic but still has good acceleration. Has cost about 3000Canadian to fix up but it was well worth it. It drives better than your average Cavalier and the like! Just add a few modifications and It starts to leave them behind! And it's 11 years old and still tack sharp!

Yeah I love the early year integras they have a lot of get up and go as long as they've been taken care of. I just bought a 1990 Ls shes a little rough and needs a little work, but what doesn't that's worth doing? so far I've got to replace the alternator belt, a/c belt, water pump (just for good measure),timing belt. I was wondering if anyone new about some websites that sell cheap body panels and aftermarket parts (performance wise) i second the thanks to acura!!!
