It has great power for a car its size.
I love my Intrepid ES, it is a great looking car and is very reliable. I take pride in my car, and the stock stereo is awesome too.
150,000 miles on my '97 Dodge Intrepid
1) Replaced timing belt and water pump due to pump freezing up. Also replaced other belts and hoses at the same time.
2) Replaced Power steering pump twice.
3) Replaced rack and pinion twice.
4) 2 Oxygen sensors went out and replaced.
5) Replaced struts and front wheel bearing.
6) Spark plugs and wires have been replaced several times.
7) Cruise control does not work, and speakers are blown.
8) New paint job due to oxidation.
Overall, this has been the best car I have ever owned. I bought this car with 29k and has good power and gas mileage. The engine still runs like the day I bought it; nice smooth idle and power.
