"The best first vehicle for teens ever!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The car has been very reliable. I have had only 3 real complaints about it.

First of all, it leaks oil. The leak is very small and difficult to locate.

Second, the quality of the interior is mediocre. I have had 2 interior rips in the upholstery.

Third, the rear linkage bearing fell apart at 63,000 Km. The dealer replaced it with an oversize linkage, but it still clunks on sharp left turn.

Other than that, everything is running smoothly and efficiently.

General comments?

This car is my first car ever. It is in good shape and the engine still runs as though it was brand new. It has been very cheap and easy to maintain and the insurance is very cheap.

The exterior is nice, but it is a little plain. I intend to add a spoiler and a few exterior details in the next year.

Well the leak that we had on our 1988 sentra E sedan (two door) (read the 1988 review, top one) is that the boots for the tranny, oil and engine had to be replaced. overall that was the main problem with the car. then on 12-20-02 we had to replace the water pump and the hoses that lead to the transmission and radiator. overall this car is great! it has 145000, almost 146000, and it runs like new! the auto tranny has excellent power and the car has no problems anymore. I guess you can say this car doesn't squeak, rattle and thump and it is one of the best designs nissan has ever put out. just read my comment on the sentra 2 door E (sedan), maybe that is the problem with the leak that you had. and an honest mechanic did the job on both the problems on this car.
