The auto-box is a nightmare. It searching for the right gear all of the time. Now it is failing, slipping and burning away. This seems to be normal for the A4LD transmission, so my mechanic told me.
The powered steering is failing.
The prop shaft is out of balance.
The odometer has been tampered with. I think the car has done a lot more than the 190.000 km on the clock.
It will have to go.
It was a great car to drive. Lots of space, comfortable like no other.
If the auto-box was better, I would buy another one.
Now, I am going for a Mercedes 200E.
I was totally wrong. I sold the car on for peanuts with a full explanation of the things wrong. She has been driving very care full to spare the transmission. It has paid off. She has driven from 194.000 KM to 245.000 KM today. The car has passed the dutch MOT (APK) again and is still going strong.

It has been scrapped because the owner wanted a more economic car. She bought a new fiat panda. For the 11.000 Euro she spend she could have driven the Scorpio for a long time. It had 265.000 km when it was scrapped.
I now drive a Mercedes 190, but that is to small. I'm going to look for an other scorpio from before 1995.
