"American muscle and style!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Turn signal "TAB" contacts broke, resulting in no turn signals.

Driver's side seat belt will not retract into the ceiling.

Just minor repairs otherwise.

General comments?

This car thinks it's a European sports car, and demands the treatment!! "Give me a tune-up once a year or else!!" On the flip side, it performs like one of those exotics as well. It corners like a sports car should! The ability for rapid acceleration is something that you have to experience at least once a week.

The car always gets noticed by everyone, most with a gratifying envy that only fellow Camaro owners will understand.

I also had turn signal trouble and paid $150 for an Illinois outfit to repair plus local garage charges for removal and installation. Unfortunately now we find that when I press the headlight switch the dashboard lights go out. Am desperately looking for help on the problem. Please advise ASAP.

I also have a problem with the drivers seat belt not retracting. My other problem is I have an 84 berlinetta limited edition. This means I have digital dash. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I cannot figure out the problem.

I have had the same issues as aforementioned, but I love my car. My model is an '84 Berlinetta SE. The car needs a few pumps to turn over, and then runs like a charm. I had the carb stick and it was a scary ride off the freeway last month, but supposedly that was due to a clogged fuel filter. I suppose the car is worth the $400.00 bucks I paid for it (especially since it has just over 100K original miles). It is a great car with mega power and eats gas like an SUV.

I too have a 1984 Berlinetta and have had digital dash problems. My car had a crack in the windshield resulting in water damage to my digital dash. Any moisture will give you problems in your dash. Also try cleaning your accessible contacts.

I too, have had my fair share of problems with my '85 Berlinetta. Don't get me wrong, I love my car, but I bought it as a project car, and haven't had the time or money to put into it. Here are some things that I have done to it.

* Replaced the 2.8 multi-port Fuel injected motor

* New exhaust

* New brake booster

Now it needs a new flywheel, How did I break the flywheel?

The wiring in my car is all messed up now because someone broke into my car and wrapped the horn wire around the steering column, and now I have lost power in my

Radio

Blinkers

Digital speedometer

Windshield wipers

Dome lights Please help me find info. -Andrew.

I hope to pass the grammar test, there has been problems with the light control module. This module is located on the same bracket as the E.C.M. The L.C.M. controls: headlights, turn signals and hazards, as well as dome. Finding the solution is a problem. I have located several L.C.M.s', which is a decision, I could purchase the same problem. I would like the replacement for this product. The problem with this module is, the temperature ambient has malfunctioned, to which the module is too cold or too hot and allows a short-circuit result. This is explained bY All Data, which is consistent to my experience.

A friend of mine just bought an '84 Berlinetta Camaro, and we are having a hard time getting it started. It is a 2.8L v6; I was wondering if a 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor would dump too much gas into the intake? All advise is welcome,

Blake Grimes.

In regards to other people with wiring problems, I too have a berlinetta. the headlight issue could be a crack on the board inside the control. not hard to check; it pretty much pulls apart.

The digital dash is a common problem, so common it can be near impossible to get a working one. once again, best is to check the solders for cracks. when I pulled mine apart I was amazed how beat up they got over the years.

I am preparing to sell a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta that was given to me by the original owner. I do not know what they are selling for, any advice?

If you somehow managed to put a 600 cfm carb on a 2.8l fuel injected motor, the engine will not draw nearly enough air in for the carb to work. It might start briefly but I see no way that it would run.

Yeah that carb would be wayyyyyy too big.
