Engine sludged @ 48k with oil changes per the manufacturers guidance.
No wonder my Toyota dealer recommended to me that I ignore the Avalon manual's saying that oil changes every 7,000 miles are OK, and to stick with 3,000 mile intervals instead!
At 23,000 miles I have been told I must replace my tires on my leased 1999 Avalon XLS. The originals are General tires. Is this unusual? The leasing company is demanding $410 for excessive wear??? Have their been other complaints about this?
My tires went bad around 17,000 miles. I was told it was because I did not rotate them, but I did with every oil change and had 4 oil changes by this mileage.
