1991 Nissan 240SX SE Fastback from North America - Comments

"A reliable cheap sleeper!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

My brake cylinder O-ring was leaking and needed to be replaced.

I've replaced two alternators.

I've replaced the starter, twice - not fun!

General comments?

The car really comes to life with the additions of after market parts. I have an intake, exhaust, and have had the computer tuned, and the car really cooks now.

The brakes though, are highly inadequate for the car. If pushed, they will warp and fade.

The handling is crisp and accurate, although I've lowered the car 1.5 inches, to add to the fun.

For all the performance aspects, I still can get almost 30 MPG, on the highway and around 22 in the city.

I am vary good friends with both of my 91 240 SX SE Fastbacks, and have never had a problem with replacing my

starter.

Yes, with only small mods, they can be real quick!

But, if you're like me, then quick just don't cut it!

(don't go with "sr20det" you get more by turbo charging the ka24de, or "factory" -I got 290 out of mine- sr20 only puts out 205-250!)

On the other hand, I have had multiple problems with my head lights on both cars, I wounder why?

Thank You

Brad.
