"Don't ever ever sell your Rex...!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have had the basic wear and tear of city driving. I am a pizza delivery driver and my car runs all day, and most of the evening. Recently I had to replace right front tierod, bushings, brakes, and sport rotors. My car is lowered 3 inches using Ground Control lowering systems and this has caused most of my problems. The clutch is also starting to fail, and will be replaced within the next few weeks.

General comments?

What I love about this car is that with little modification you too can have your own rice rocket. My car originally came with a 1991 Si 1.6 liter engine and it had 180.000 miles on it. I have just recently swapped motors to a Japanese spec motor called a B16A with 180+ horsepower. If you have the time and cash, this is the ultimate in 4 cylinder race cars you could design.

Uh...a B16A was the VTEC version of the D16A and it only produced 160HP. Check out www.ardperformance.com.

No, the D16A is a Vtec SOHC 1.6l 108 hp.

The B16A is a DOHC vtec 160 hp USDM, 170 hp JDM.

You are right my friend, never sell your rex. I have the DOHC Vtec version and I will never sell it. It has a custom kit (simular to the cyber kit in Australia) and it also turns a lot of heads. I eat other hondas for lunch (I forgot to mention it's turbo charged)

Both wrong!! haha.

D16a6 = CRX SOHC NONVTEC 108hp

D16z6 = 92+civic/delsol SOHC Vtec 127hp

B16a1 = 89-91 Crx SiR (japan) 160hp.

170hp is a b18c.

Although a b16 did range depending on year from 158 - 167 or so.

OK guys I've got a 1990 crx si and it is down need a new motor, but do not know what to go with. Need a little help with picking the right motor and prefer one that is not real costly or needs a lot of mods to be placed. Please hook me up with a good idea and a reliable dealer if that's possible. Thanks.

OK what's the biggest engine that can fit in a 91 Crx?

I think that would be a b18. You could slap the next size up in there, but you would have to move the steering wheel and driver's seat back to the hatch :)
