"Cool little car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The only thing that went wrong when I had it was a worn wheel bearing at about 55,000, but that was probably because of a daily thrashing down the motorway.

General comments?

This was the first car I ever had, it wasn't actually mine, but a company car. It is ideal for a first car, yet also for business use.

Very comfortable, very reliable, excellent car. Sound engine and gearbox.

My only complaint was the speed, or lack of it. I was forever straining to keep up with people from the lights, even if I wasn't racing! And I would have desired that extra bit of overtaking power on the motorway.

I would have it back any day. Will probably end up with one again when I can afford it.

I've currently got a Renault Clio 1.4 rt, 92k model. I've owned it for a year, and have added 50k to the clock. Only thing to got has been the cam belt, and the Bearings. Otherwise, it's been a very very good car. Cheap running costs, good fuel consumption, and low insurance. Only had it serviced twice, and still going strong. Very nippy, and quick to pull away. always the first off the lights!

I'd have one again for sure!

My wife owns a 1994 Clio 1200 cc which she has had for two years. We have been car owners for over 30 years, but this must be the worst car by far. After a cam belt change last year and only appoximately 3000 miles later it failed.

Sorry, but not recommended.

I recently bought a 1996 N-reg 1.2 Clio, and I must say, I love it so far, it hasn't let me down.

Honestly, its much more fun that my previous car (a mk3 1.1 fiesta). Its good on fuel, and great when it comes to corners. Theirs such a wide range of body kits and bits for it.

The only few things it has had done I the past, which I guess all cars need from time to time, were brake pads and a new exhaust. Other than that, it's a great all round car!

I am the owner of a 1998 'S' Reg 1.2RN Clio, which I have had since new. I find that parts like brake pads and discs are expensive due to them being vented on this model. You can get cheaper pads and discs, but I find that they don't last as long and they squeal after a while due to them being made with a different less toxic material. This is my second Clio, but I don't think I will buy another one!!! Parts are too expensive.

The car itself is very economical!!!

I have a 16 valve clio and it's a fantastic car to drive. This is my fourth clio and previously had a diesel clio that was also very good indeed! The 16 valve is a rather hard ride, but very sporty. If you want one search untill you find a standard one as its well worth it. If you want economy go for the diesel as its the most economical car I have ever had the pleasure to own. Fantastic cars!

This is my first car. I have had it for almost a year now. It is a Renault Clio 1.2 litre, it is very nippy and I have only just turned 18.It has got cheap insurance and inside I could live in it because it is so tidy and relaxing. It is much better than the car I had before (Peugeot 205).

I would recomend this to any first time drivers.

I have owned a 1993 Clio 1.2 for entire year. so far there have been only front bearing and brake pads replaced. Although, here in Lithuania, roads are not of top quality, it is both pleasing and reliable to be driven.
