"A high performance racing investment"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong. I love this car.

General comments?

This car feels like it has more power than a jet.

The carbon fiber interior trim looks excellent.

Takes a while to get used to getting in and out with the door opening up instead of out.

This car smokes any Asian import racer anyday!

Sounds like you like this car (which in turn is the car of my dreams, and with me being only 15 years old and the car costing over 270,000 in America, there is almost no chance of me getting it), but why is that you have a sad smiley face next to it?

How fast have you gotten her to. Does the +200 speed really exist or is it said to make her sound better.

Why wouldn't you buy another car from Lamborghini if everything is 10/10?

Maybe because once you have paid the price of a fairly decent house for a super car, the thought of buying another one is distant to say the least.

Imagine the insurance on those cars? Not only paying the huge price tag, but some guy in my town had one and insurance was up around 50 grand a YEAR! Unbelievable, but if I had the money, I'd park it right next to my Bentley. :-D

Maybe he's not thinking about buying another car ever?

Ahh well, rather a lot of money to spend on a car... Think of the starving people in Africa... But hey, if u've got it... ;)

Is this article even real? I ask this because of lack of info.

I'm 15 in march 2003 and the diablo VT roadster has been my dream car since I've been 8.I like to believe I will get one, one day as I want to become a pilot in the future. Do you think it is possible for me to get one and how did you get yours?

Don't forget the 15k rice import would not do anything like 200mph and would not be stable under hard braking or cornering.

For one, no $15,000 rice burner with everything stock is going to beat a Lamborghini.

Now if you take a $15,000 rice burner and add $12,000 worth of upgrades to the engine and transmission including nitrous (like they use on those videos) and yes it will win. But you could make the same improvements to a Lamborghini to make it go faster. But why? 'Cause when it all goes wrong and you've blown your engine and trashed your car you've only wasted $27,000. With the Lamborghini you've just blown $200,000.

What I would like to see is one of those drag racing rice burns on a road with some turns in it, because that's what the Lamborghini is made for.

It's like comparing a dragster to a stock-car.

What I don't understand is why people are comparing a $200,000+ car to a $15,000 car. They are completely different. If you buy a Lambo, yes you get it because it's a monster anywhere (road, track, off-road maybe? jk) but its more of a status symbol. Honestly, which would you look at more, a lambo driving by, or the rice rocket? Any car can be fast with enough mods. It takes a truly fast car to do 200 mph stock.

Their right its hard to take a honda civic and make it into something that compares to a lamborghini, but with 200grand I would spend it on supercharging a used acura NSX and the rest on a decent house in florida. But then again, I'm not a multi-millionare, I work on register at a grocery store, but it is nice to dream. It must be great to have that much money, but hopefully by my birthday next year I will have enough for a Lt1 firebird and enough to put in a decent supercharger; that will be my lamborghini. Have Fun!

Alright come on... to the person that said Jap idiots don't touch Lambos think again. Ever heard of the Momo edition Diablo... (yawns), guess not. I haven't seen that video of the civic beatin the lambo, but trust me that civic had at least 50s over it. Asian imports, sorry to say are hand-me-downs, actually I'm not sorry to say. Was that civic even street legal? And remember this is a GT Diablo. Oh by the way... I live in HB, Cali. Right next to Newport Beach, home of the rich and the famous. One of my friedns owns a Civic Si or something like that. He takes good care of it and it pushes out 520, thank you Inline 4, and some other mods, now we hang out in NP, and we ran into a stock VT. Black Opal, maybe. And, it was a redlight. The Diablo was shaking our Civic with its engine, each rev, shaking our windows, our Civic! When the light hit green we could not see through the smoke that the lambo left! So... the civic clocks in 4 flat and 1/4 in 12.2, that Lambo was like 5 seconds ahead of us, no kiddin... you can't bag on the Diablo that lost (if it even was a GT), because you haven't lived till your next to one in a civic. Than we'll talk. Asian Imports suck, I'm out!

It doesn't really matter cause you see... you are not the single person who owns the single (out of 80 in the whole world) Diablo GT in north America. And even that car is non US-legal it can only be used in tracks or shows.
