1995 Alfa Romeo 145 I.E. from Netherlands - Comments

"It's an Italian piece of work!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The start-blocking system stopped functioning, so sometimes it wasn't possible to drive with the car. I've been to a garage, but they couldn't help me because I've had lost the code and didn't want to spent over $800 - (!). The solution was very simple when a guy looked at it and removed all blocking points. (costs about $100,-)

The right front blinker started malfunctioning, this suddenly stopped after 3 weeks.

The horn keeps refusing now and then.

General comments?

It's a great car to drive.

The car is very nice to see.

It's a car with low maintenance costs, as long as you do the maintenance yourself (unless you start styling the car, like I did, then it will start to cost money anyway).

I have driven a 1995 1.4 liter 145 for over a year now. I can say I'm very pleased with it. It drives great, but costs are a little high.

In this whole year I owned it, I spent a lot of money on styling parts. The products are very expensive and not always easy to get. Unless you use your imagination like I did. I painted the interior myself, I've got 16" BSA racing alloys, I lowered the car 35 mm, and fitted a Sebring back pipe and a supersprint cat-replacement, and fitted a Green-air filter. After all these modifications, the car looks great and I love to show in it.
