Well I haven't had any problems with the car, even though there were so many miles on it.
I replaced the stock clutch at 165000 with a centerforce stage 3.
Now at 208000, I just lost an apex seal on rotor 2.
Blew off a muffler when I was cranking over the motor trying to un-flood it.
I love RX7's. Ever since owning this one I have become a real enthusiast. I just wish more people in Charles County Maryland would feel the same. I am about to rebuild my motor with ceramic 2 piece 3mm apex seals, I've heard they're the best way to go.
Anyway, before the problems, the car ran great. Fast as hell and handled like a dream.
I Have MAZDA RX7 too, but I don't know why it flouds all the time. Can someone tell me why? E-Mail at chrisbegay1989@yahoo.com.
My car has also been flooding, can anyone help me out> Mine is an 88 naturally aspirated B13- email me at fellipefell@aol.com.
Flooding issues: It's your fuel injectors. I've had this problem myself, and it's a very easy problem to fix.
The best way to unflood the rotary beast is to take out all the fuses for the fuel injection. these are located under a little black cover under the bonnet on the right hand side. then turn the engine over 4-5 times for 10 seconds. put the fuses in and it should start as normal. it will be quite smokey for a few minutes though. hope this helps ;) Dan.
