The engine hesitates when cold, but by letting it warm up for a couple minutes in the morning, the problem is solved.
Belt tensioner broke after purchase. Cheap replacement, $100 bucks with labor.
Shortly after, the transmission cooling line got caught in a cooling fan causing 3 quarts of fluid to drain out. Cheap fix, $100 with labor and fluid.
I bought it because of the reliability of my 1991 Buick Century with the 3.3L V6. So far it hasn't been as reliable.
Original AC Delco battery is still going strong after 7 years. I replaced it due to the fact that it was getting old.
It has good pickup and the brakes are decent. The comfort and convenience for this model are exceptional.
Repairs on the car are very resonable. I did a tune up which consisted of plug wires, spark plugs, air filter, distrubuiter cap, pcv valve, and battery for a little over $100.
Your 94 Olds Cutlass Supreme has a distibuter? I work at an auto parts store and own the car. I ain't got a distibuter cap. It's got coil packs.
It has the Distributor less ignition system, I replaced the cap for the coil pack because it was corroded. I wasn't sure what it was called.
This is one of my all-time favorite cars, A modern day classic in the hood. This is my second one, my first one was perfect, a 95' with no problems. I got more miles per gallon and when I was low on gas she never let me down, but this one (94') is giving me fits. She runs well, but always need a touch here and there. I recently had to buy coil packs and a ignition module for it, so far so good. This car is notorious for fuel pump problems.
94 Cutlass CV:
We bought this car brand new from the factory.
HUD, Full leather, and all the options.
Now it has 140K + on it and it runs like a charm. Recently drove to FL and back. No worries...
Did have to replace the timing belt around 40K, but has been a strong performer and adequate mileage since then.
We have had no major problems with our 94 olds cutlass convertible. We love it!
It has 133,000 miles on it and still runs great.
We do have a leak somewhere that causes the rear floor boards to get wet when it rains. We can't seem to find the reason. Has anyone else had this happen?
