"A sophisticated muscle car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have not had any problems with my Camaro other than that people seem to enjoy driving in to it. The interior is made up of nice looking but easily broken plastic.

General comments?

Any newer Camaro (93 and up) is the best bang for your buck car available today. The car has incredible low end torque and is very rev happy. It is also possible to get close to 30 miles per gallon. Do not listen to Ford guys, even a brand new 5.0 Mustang will not keep up with my 93.

You should consider more things before writing a tear on "Ford" guys. I am a Mustang Fox Body enthusiast, and my best friend has a brand new SS. First of all, I bought my 2Stang for 2,000 dollars. A Z-28 is through the roof these days. I put the money I saved over buying a Chevy and put it under the hood of my Mustang. With only 2 weeks work I ran quarter miles in the high 12's. The "mighty" SS barely got under 14. Now, not to mention the fact that my car is 10 years older than my friends, but he also payed 30,000 dollars for a car that I rolled up and smoked using just over 4 grand. Next time you think about buying an American Muscle car, buy the real thing. Performance, speed, reliability, acceleration, and much better looks leave Camaros way behind the American standard. Why do you think they stopped making it??

And P.S. You should get your facts straight the next time you put down a Mustang... because they stopped making 5.0's in 1995. Not to mention that a brand new 4.6 Cobra would send any Camaro back to the assembly line where it belongs.

I'm sure if you put the same thing in that camaro that you did the Mustang, the Camaro would blow the doors off of the Camaro, oh and by the way since we are talking about who's faster, my Z-28 has left a 4.6L Cobra in the dust so I think that YOU should get your facts straight first.

I Read in a motor trend where a stock 98 SS took a stage 3 Rousch to school in the quarter. whats up with that pony man? I also heard a survey somewhere revealed the mustang was the car of choice for women and young girls.

Pony, it doesn't matter if you put 4000 into ur mustang and then you dragged ur brothers mates uncles ss (which I doubt). stock 4 stock youd bite the dust anyday.

I would like to say that as a proud owner of a 1995 Z28 and the mother of 3 teens, we have enjoyed beating mustangs over the years.. My Z has hands down whipped every mustang it has raced, even the 4.6.. :)

Mustangs are slow... they ought to compete with 3.4 camaros and then they might have a chance.

I just want to say I had a 94 z28 and camaros are junk yes they are fast... but they always are tearing up more money than their worth.

Just a comment for the Mustang owner:

After owning a '94 Z28 for the past several years, there has yet to be a Mustang pass me on the freeway unless I lift my foot and let it happen. The Z28 is an absolute joy to drive and the rumble coming from the pipes is incredible. In fact, I seldom listen to music in the car because I can't hear the sweet sound of the exhaust - but I've digressed.

The point I wish to make is that it just doesn't matter to anyone that you can perhaps blow my doors off with a modified Mustang because at the end of the day, I'll still drive home in my beautiful Patriot Red Z28 and you will still be driving - just another worthless Ford.

(I once drove for a whole block and a half without seeing a Mustang, but that was a long time ago.)

How much horse power does a 1993 z28 push. oh and whats faster the Lt1 stock or the Ls1 stock?

Vote:

1993 LT1 is 275 HP and the LS1 is 310 HP at the end of production for the Camaro. I believe the SS version was 320 HP in 2002...

With an immature customer base like that, no wonder GM axed the Camaro.

By the way, no one has the right to use the word sophisticated and Camaro in the same sentence.

I have walked every mustang with my 95 LT1 M6 (Except 03-04 Cobra's) My buddy has a 91 GT with header, exhaust, K&N CAI, King Cobra Clutch, MSD Ignition, Perf Cam and a Chip. and I have walked him millions of time. They run outta breath at 3rd. oh yea, 98 and up LS1 SS doesn't do 14's...Musta been a bad driver or doesn't know how to properly drive an American Muscle. Sorry man truth hurtZ.
