"Cheap and reliable gem"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Brake pads have gone and been replaced.

Door handle was broken and has been fixed.

Differential seal yet to be done.

General comments?

Very reliable truck.

2.8L is underpowered and I yearn for a 4.3 L.

Awesome 4X4.

Sharp looking.

Haven't blown a clutch or transmission for a learning vehicle.

I own a 1989 S-10 Blazer. It has the following:

2.8L V-6, 5 inch suspension lift, 4 inch body lift, TSl tires size 33x10.50, custom rack, and a new Dana 12 bolt rear axel. The 2.8L was slightly under-powered until I added headers, an intake and a performance exhaust system.

I reciently blew the stock 5 speed transmission and am currently fabricating the parts to swap to a toyota R151F transmission.

I also would like to upgrade my alternator to handle bigger lights, but first things first.

My overall review of this SUV is great! It has kept going and going after 189,000 miles with most of them off road.
