It has been three weeks since I took delivery of the car from my local dealer and two minor problems have come to light so far.
When left overnight it rarely starts on the first turn of the key the following morning. The diesel pre-heater light is only on for a fraction of a second. Subsequent attempts to start the engine are normally successful.
Another minor annoyance is when the engine is idling at 800 RPM it sometimes feels like it misfires. I've tried taking as much load as possible off the engine i.e. Lights, Air Conditioning, but this makes no difference.
A colleague also bought a 307 HDI 110 one month before myself and he is also experiencing both of the above problems.
To be fair neither of us have reported this to the dealer yet, but I'm beginning think this is a common fault.
Finally I have to agree with a previous report that the indicators are too quiet and the self-cancelling leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole the car is excellent and a real joy to drive. It is very stable at speed and corners with confidence coupled with good all round visibility.
Seating is very comfortable and there is plenty of passenger space.
The digital Air Conditioning works perfectly and the Radio/CD Changer gives a real quality sound.
This 'misfiring' you say I have to say I've experienced it with my HDi 90, I know mine has a smaller turbo, but when it's idling now and then it tends to splutter. Usually what I do (though not from cold) is give it a little rev to clear out the air filter, then you find it's a lot better.
