"A $600 Super Cruise"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Engine leaked oil fairly quickly.

Brakes failed a week after I got it, but were repaired easily.

Aged alternator failed, but was replaced easily.

Front shocks were dead when I bought it, as would be expected.

Yellow interior was obnoxious and was quickly covered with a case of vinyl spray paint.

General comments?

Car had serious acceleration and it tops out at about 150 MPH.

When washed & waxed car looks like brand new.

150 miles an hour?

Yes- I believe 150 m.p.h. Realistically 140 or so- With the extra low axle ratio and the huge engine (351 compared to todays standards is large). Now being the weight of the car, the 400 or even the 460 optional engines for this car at the time, won't push more than 170. But that is still pretty damn good!

Come to think of it, that would be really funny seeing a 70's Grand Marquis doing 150 on the highway. I don't think Dennis Leary could make you laugh harder! But anyways, I do believe it.
