"Cheap reliable and sporty"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing Really,

General comments?

I Got this car off the side of the road that was dumped and it good interior and exterior it was great so in the end I got it put in my name I had to a couple of things to it to get it registed (safety check) rust under the wheel hub, engine running properly all the electrics were not working so had to fix that, but it was easy and it had a smashed window, but in the end I got a cheap to run car for more or less $450 which is around 170 pound I'm happy with that and since then it has never missed a beat and goes like a rocket.

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and I too owned a 1982 ford laser. My parents bought it in 1982 and gave it it me when I was 20 yrs old. It is a perfect car. I did a number of modifications to it which increased the horse power tremendously.1500 engine with headers and a Holley ratchet carburetor and a five speed manual transmission.

The ford laser is the most durable car I ever came across and with those modifications it went from fast to terribly fast.

U made a good choice.

I love my 1983 Ford Laser. We bought it four years ago with 250,000 kms on the clock. Now it has 330,000 and has given us no significant trouble. But now it has some sort of petrol starvation issue and we've done the simple things and its probably not worth fixing. Need to find someone poor to give it too.

Fabulous car, we did everything with it,
