Leather seat (drivers side) became un-fixed after the SAAB technicians fitted heated seats. Fixed under warranty.
Otherwise nothing has gone wrong.
This is a first class cruiser with lots of room and plenty of go when needed and surpisingly economical - the computer regularly suggests 38 - 40 mpg and proper checking between fuel fill-ups have proven it correct.
I recently changed all four tyres for Michelin Primacy W rating at 30,000 miles! Not bad for a front wheel drive turbo-charged car.
Spoke too soon!
Turbo packed in at 28,000 miles - replaced under warranty, but seems to lack luster. The engine "stutters" when accelerating through 3000rpm.
Depreciation is immense! car bought for £20k now 2 1/2 years later approximately £11k.
The car has to go!
Don't understand your reasoning.
1) You buy a 1 y/o 9-5 in 2000 for £20,000.
2) In late 2002 you find it's worth £11,000.
That means it's retained around 46% of its value over three years, which is above average for its class.
Given the above information, and the fact that the mechanical fault you described was replaced under Saab warranty, if I were you I'd quit being so harsh on the poor 9-5 and get back to your dealer and get him to fix what's wrong.
