"Jeep Wranglers are very poorly made and I would never consider owning another one"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

There have been many problems with my Jeep Wrangler. One of the major problems with my Jeep is the top leaks every time it rains outside. I have been trying to get the leak fixed for over a year with no luck. The dealership keeps the car for three days at a time and they do not fix the problem. The last time I took my Jeep to the dealership I got it back a week later, not fixed, and the air conditioner fan was broken. The Compact Disc player quit working about 15,000 miles ago and my rear wiper no longer works.

General comments?

This car is the only one I have ever owned that was new.

Overall, the car rides very rough and it is noisy.

The 6 cylinder engine is very powerful and thus far I have not had a problem with the transmission.

The overall size of the car is very good for getting in and out of small places.

I must say that I agree to a certain extent, leaking roof is one of the many problems that you will encounter with a wrangler, but most owners would agree that it is part of the nature of jeep owners to grin and bear it. I have had 3 different jeeps. a cj, yj and now a tj and I must say that they have come a long way. the 6 cylinder engine is awesome, in a class by itself, but the axles and everything underneath the vehicle is awful. the dana 35 in the back and 30 in the front were not cut out for the kind of power and beating that is sustained by the awesome tourque. jeep made great strides in the rubicon by putting the larger dana 45 in both the front and rear. that would have solved all my problems. I have replaced the rear twice and the front once, and let me tell you it's not cheap. good luck in the future I have decided to end my relationship with jeeps for now on to the sportier audi a4.
