I have had no problems with my Dakota.
I only had one question for my mechanic.
When I took it into the dealership to.
Get the first check up and free oil.
Change, and that was, why is that it.
Idles so low sometimes. He explained
That Dodge's are programmed to idle
Lower to conserve fuel.
So far, my truck hasn't given me any.
Problem. I love the way it looks and.
Feels. It has enough power for what I.
Need it for. If I did need more.
Power, I would've got the bigger.
Engine that wastes more gas. I.
Recently hauled 2, 1200 lb loads of.
Landscape stone. There, I had plenty.
Of power without overworking the.
Engine, but the back springs were.
Pretty much maxed. It was fine.
Though. I was very impressed. The.
Only tiny complaint I have, is that I.
Wish that it had a little better of.
Stereo, without having to put.
Something else in. Other than that.
I'm very pleased with my truck's.
Performance and look.
There is apparently some sort of bias against positive reviews of Dakotas on this site. I've tried three times to post a review of my 2001 Dakota Sport, which was the best driving, most reliable and best looking truck I have ever owned. At any rate, I'm glad your review made it onto the site. The old Dakota Sports (before the redesign in 2004) were the best looking trucks ever built. Since Dodge has (stupidly) dropped the fuel efficient 4 and the regular cab I was forced to go back to the Ford Ranger in 2006 for my next small truck.
