"A gutless wonder"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Excessive drive shaft noise.

Bad oil leaks.

No power.

Very poor gas mileage.

Spring mounts rotted through.

General comments?

I dislike this truck very much. It gets very, very, poor mileage, it is a gutless wonder, and I have had many problems with this truck. The tranmission and motor leak oil like a sieve. The placement of parts is disgusting, the whole motor a pile of junk. I would never buy another ford again. It is poorly made, and is a total waste of money and time. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone, ford service is also very poor.

Sounds a lot like you bought nothing more than used truck with over 100,000 miles that has been used and abused and not at all maintained. Any used vehicle that has been abused and not taken care of at all will have multiple problems. Ford isn't the problem here, its the previous owner (s) fault. You should pay a lot closer attention to past maintenance and how much it was used/abused before deciding to buy. Also you need to keep in mind every make and model of any vehicle will have an occasional lemon. If you decide to not buy from any manufacturer again after having some problems with a used vehicle, than you will never own a vehicle.

I agree with the response I own a 1992 ranger with 227.000

miles and still running strong and shooting for 300.000.
