"I love my car and will never part with it"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The speedometer went out at 253,000 miles. The problem was in the transmission, but it did not stop me from driving it. I did not want to take out the transmission to replace the driver gear just for that. It is now fixed since I had the transmission rebuilt once it started to slip.

The radiator went out when I hit a deer doing 60 miles per hour. I could not complain being that it bent the valance panel and dented the grille when it pushed in. I replaced the radiator and was back in business.

General comments?

This car is very roomy and it turns a lot of heads.

The 283 / powerglide set up is not for racing, but more of a cruising car.

I know how you feel about never parting with the car. I feel the same way about my 1976 Monte Carlo. Check out my review and web page sometime.
