"Good economy car (while it's working)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Cup holder handle broke off.

All four interior door handles broke off.

One window handle broke off.

Parking break handle cover broke off.

Glove compartment handle broke off.

Ceiling padding fell off.

Seats are wearing badly.

Vent fins snapped off.

De-fogger vent curling up.

Some rear de-fogger lines no longer work.

Windshield washer nozzles quit working.

Windshield washer pump quit working.

Entire exhaust system rusted out twice.

Transmission locked up at 169,000 miles.

Timing belt broke at 140,000 miles.

Shocks wore out at 145,000.

Hood separated from support framing.

Some body panels, especially around the fenders and doors, is rusting.

General comments?

This car has good handling; even in mountainous territory.

The gas mileage can hardly be beat by any gas-only vehicle.

However, the acceleration leaves much to be desired.

The cheap construction of the plastic parts is a constant worry.

Also, the tiny interior and trunk is difficult on taller people and larger cargo.
