2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS from North America - Comments

"Fast, flashy, and almost practical!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Front rotors needed turning at about 20000 miles.

Water leak in the T-tops (fixed by realigning door)

The remote hatch release doesn't always release completely.

General comments?

More power than I'll ever need. This car is seriously fast, and very responsive at any speed.

Huge amount of torque makes it hard to launch into traffic without wheel spin, even with the automatic. Electronic Traction control helps, especially when the back end tries to get sideways.

Decent gas mileage considering performance.

Handles very well, but it's too big and wide to feel nimble.

Optional leather really dresses up otherwise plain interior. Back seat is more useful than I expected, and the front buckets are great.

Booms and shakes over broken pavement, but rides surprisingly well on most surfaces. T-tops creak and rattle a little on bad pavement.

I also own a 2000 SS and have the t-tops leaking. Could you explain to me on how you realigned the door for this to quit?? e-mail at pontiacws_6@hotmail.com

THANKS.
