Nothing major. Overhead eyeglass storage does not stay shut, even after dealer repair.
The 2.5 engine seems more capable than magazine reviewers give credit for.
I like the size of the vehicle and features Mazda put into the MPV.
We wanted to be able to convert storage space easily. The fold under seat allows this easily. The second row seats are not too heavy for one person to handle.
The gas mileage is as rated, often times better if not driven too aggressively.
We are empty nesters and this minivan is ideal as a utility vehicle. Tried to drive as many as we could before buying. This is my third Mazda. They seem to know how to combine features and value.
I have a Mazda MPV ES 2000 which I have driven for 4 years.
I like the handling and the fact that it is smaller than
Honda Odysee and Toyota Sienna. But, I've had major problems
with spark plugs, with the water pump, intake manifold,
and the check engine light going off. In short, in comparison
to my 1997 Camry which I've driven since 1997, the repairs have
been far more and costlier.
