2001 Audi A3 Turbo Sport from UK and Ireland - Comments

"Wolf in sheeps clothing"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Reverse gear sometimes crunches even with the clutch fully depressed.

General comments?

It's quite quick and overtaking is effortless.

A bit cramped in the rear.

Buy one with the auto air con.

The A3 Turbo is a truly great motor!!!

There quite nippy and handle prEtty well for a front wheel drive.

I prefer the sunroof model than climate control as a/c sap's the power!!!

The economy I'm currently achieving is about 38-39mpg yet dropping to 32mpg when I start to to play!!!

The only problem I had was a great drop in power yet was diagnosed in seconds at a local turbo specialist - a very common problem with these machines is that they burst the turbo dump valve yet can be uprated for under a £100. I don't advise going to an Audi dealership for this problem if you can help it as they wanted to charge me £300 plus parts.

ALL IN ALL - A GREAT GREAT MACHINE!!!
