"Small truck with heart of a full size"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Truck does not start properly when engine is warm. This is due to either the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. I need to do a pressure test to determine which.

Truck pulls to one side. Apparently it was in an small accident before I bought it. Had an alignment done, but the technician said that some non-adjustable components were out and needed to be replaced.

Engine used to slip out of gear at highway speeds. Replaced one of the sensors on the transmission. Problem cleared right up. (I think it was called the speed sensor, but I am not quite sure)

Coolant light comes on intermittently.

General comments?

This has been an excellent truck for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

The truck has ample power for all my needs. I never have to worry about passing and I can barely even tell when I am towing something as the engine does not miss a beat.

The truck has over 250 000 kilometers, but the engine still runs as if brand new, and it does not use any oil whatsoever.

Hey I was wondering if you could let me know how much the sensor in the transmission costs and if you paid American or Canadian thanks.

I had a Pioneer 4X4 5spd for 4 years. left it in better shape than I got it. Had to replace alternator. Needed new injector and and computer when I got it. Many other things. BUT for 170,000 miles it was not unexpected. Used it for around the property and hunting and commuting. After getting everything sorted out it was a very reliable, powerful and strong. Surprisingly I was getting 19-22 MPG consistantly. Not bad for a 19 year big old 4L inline push rod cast iron six cylinder engine. Replaced it with a 2005 Dakota Club Cab 3.7L V6 4sp auto which gets only 16-18 MPG. You would think Dodge could do better after 17 years. The only reason I got the Dakota was the storage space behind the seats and just a little bigger for a small camper. Other wise I'd still have the Comanche.
