Battery died at approximately 2000 km.
Ignition failed several times. Was fixed by software update.
Left indicator self-cancels too easily.
Car alarm system is buggy.
Most of the problems are the result of software bugs, and are not expensive to fix.
The 307 is a beautiful car from the outside and from the inside.
The drive is comfortable for the driver and passengers on long routes. City drive is less pleasant.
The engine is quiet. No wind noise at high speeds.
Automatic gear is not smooth, but the Tiptronic manual control is a good compensation.
High performance and good handling. Brakes are OK especially in regressive behavior. Great kickbacks.
Generally fun to drive once you get used to it.
I agree with the comments regarding the auto box. it's not just that it doesn't change smoothly, but also that it doesn't seem to be too smart about when it should change. It sounds like a software problem to me; does any one know if there is an update? they must sell bucket loads of 607 automatics, so they must be able to make a decent auto.
