"Great car, but niggly faults"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Boot rattle

Passenger seat loose

Sensor failure

sensor failure again

sensor failure again!!!

Electrics all gone crazy!

Rattly dash

More electric problems.

General comments?

I love this car!Performance looks and style all rolled into one. Handles corners beyond belief! When its on the road!

Spent more time driving to dealers for repairs than driving elsewhere. Six times

for the same electrical problem when will it end?

Certainly turns heads and gets many admiring glances and certainly fun to drive.

The transmission seems to be another problem to be looked into. Upon warming up my mini for more than 20 minutes during any winter day, my transmission seems very mushy and it is difficult to get into any gear.

I purchased a new Mini Cooper S in August 2004. Since then it has had three new heater control units fitted, one new electrical relay and now a replacement battery. In all it has been in the dealers for 8 days to deal with these electrical faults. A great car, but I am now losing faith in the build quality, particularly it's electrical system.
