The water pump froze at 101,000 miles. Shortly afterward, the muffler went bad. The timing belt snapped about two weeks later. And the starter died shortly after that.
I bought the car for $500 after it had been sitting for two years. I would not suggest buying this car. The fuel economy was great, but the reliability was terrible. I spent about $1000 on repairs for the 2 months that I owned it.
Well duh dude never buy a car that has been sitting for 2 years! Your lucky nothing serious went wrong with it like a brake line busting. Also for a car with a $500 price tag somethings probably wrong with it anyways.
Sooo... you were upset when the *muffler* "went bad" after 100000+ miles?
I see.
Considering that equates to somewhere between 5 and 10 years of driving for an average in North America... I'd say the exhaust was due to depart.
