Drive-shaft.
Nearside wheel bearing.
At first I disliked this car. I found it noisy, uncomfortable and very basic when compared to my 405.
But what can I say, within ten miles I was eating my words. This car is just so much fun! Its steering is light enough to manage and is precise, it goes round corners well, but under-steers with the standard wheels and it goes well in a straight line. The best part is you can be driving quite slowly and feel as if you're flying along at twice the speed. The only downside comes when it comes to stopping, the brakes are poor and without feedback.
I have now had the car lowered and got bigger wheels on and am now truly an AX addict! I love this car, it makes the trips to the shops fun. The 300 mile round trip to university isn't so good as the seats are designed for short journeys, but they grip well when on A and B roads.
It'll beat any Nova type car easily both in a straight line and around a corner, the only car I have been beaten by yet is a Fiesta RS1800i - and even then it struggled to get past!
It's a cheap, reliable, back to basics, but most of all fun car and I wouldn't swap it for the world, at least not until I can afford that Skyline!
The GT is a very good car. However if you plan on purchasing one make sure it is the Mark 1 because the Mark 2 1991 onwards (the one with the new dash) on a J plate upwards are slower than the Mark 1's. This is because citroen in their wisdom, decided to lower the emissions which meant a 10 bhp loss from the Mark 1's 85 bhp to a measly 75bhp. still nippy, but just not as quick.
