Seat covers have faded.
Minor oil leak.
Bed has started rust.
Paint had faded.
Has some trouble with cold temps.
Parking brake light never turns off.
This truck has a lot of zip in traffic.
It is almost always reliable.
The cab is very roomy even for a large person.
Seems to describe my 1984 version. Tough as nails mechanicaly, body seems thin as heck. Have 40k original miles on it, imagine the sheetmetal will simply dissolve around the engine some year!
I have found the 1986 Mazda B2000,a very reliable truck. It has served me well. I have an oil leak and lost the timing belt, which I replaced in 2 hours. I have an ignition switch problem, but would buy another in a heart beat! It has good power hauls well and can carry a very large load. It is roomy. I am 6'1" and 300 bs and have no difficulty getting in or out of this tough little truck
Sounds like my 87 b2000 its very reliable, the bed is rusting pretty good, but that don stop it, its mechanically sound and transmission never has been serviced and still goes through all 5 gears smooth... i would definitely recommend one to another person.
I have a 1986 Mazda B2000 pickup also!!! It was given to me by a guy who used it to heard cattle!!! But yet it still runs in great condition!!!
It has 191,986 miles on it and still runs like a champ. It's the first vehicle I have ever owned, and will stay in the family for a while!!!
I've done a lot to it, like paint the exhaust and other things, but all in all, it is a very nice little zippy truck!!!
