"Never seen true performance"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing has went wrong.

Id trust it to go any where.

But it seems to have no power at all.

General comments?

The car occationally will get jumpy when I am a a steady coast. If I hit it then it seem to have hardly any acceloration. The main thing that confuses me is that everyone say the 3.4 is so fast, but my friends 3.1 could blow it away. I know its got a problem so if you have any suggestions of what I can look at please let me know, thankz

Not a 3.4 it's a 3.8.

I have had 2 gtp's a 95 and a 96. what I would suggest first off is checking plugs and wires. they tend to need replacing at about 65-70000 miles. if they have been replaced or you need to replace be sure to use ac-delco true platinum plugs not platinum tipped also use ac-delco wires they are a lot more expensive than going to auto zone and buying for instance each spark plug will run you about $15.00 compared to a couple bucks elsewhere, but the results of installing original equipment far outweigh price.

Btw I installed a cheap pair of plugs and wires on my 95 first and it ran just as your saying.

GTP's did not come with a 3.8 in 1996. Get the facts straight.

Did you ever think that the problem could be the driver??
