Ex Uk car imported to NZ in 1995 with 55,000 mls, it was the best car I've owned. Problem with the clutch - put down to 'one of those things considering the age'.
I allowed my girl friend to drive one day, we discovered that even BMW's are no match for power poles at 100 km/h!! So watch them in the wet. We didn't quite walk away but survived ok. If you remember that "chicks can't drive BMW's" you'll be OK!! If you need further proof watch the movie called "Ronin".
I agree with your comment. During Ronin, it may seem like she knows what she's doing for a bit, but eventually, we all learn that she should not have been sitting in that seat.
I am a chick with a 1987 325I and I guess you have to be the "right" chick to tame this beast! I don't have any problems with this car.
Sorry guys, I bought an 87 325I convert. 5 speed for my girlfriend, and she loves it. I have had to replace the shift rod, and the bottom mounted shifter housing, and the car has 220,000 miles on it! She wasn't the one who broke the shifter hardware either... it was me. All in all it is definitely a great car, just make sure that you keep your valves adjusted and your oil changed... no matter who is driving.
