The Head blew at 288000 K, had engine rebuilt.
Normal stuff brakes, exhaust, tire etc.
A very reliable compact Truck, I put about 80,000 K on it per year. Only failed to start when the battery died. Carried 1200 lbs of gravel from Toronto to Barrie (hey it was free) about 100 k
with no worries or problems.
Only problem now is a very high idle, won't kick down no matter what I try ( new air filter, cleaned Carb, new fuel filter, new cap rotor). Will try opening the choke a little to see if that works.
The O2 sensor should be replaced about every 80K.
Might solve your problem.
Check all your vacuum hoses for leaks/cracks, etc. I had high idle in my '89 B2200 after head replacement. Turned out to be vacuum hoses not put back on correctly, if at all. The vacuum hose going into the bottom of the air cleaner assembly was off and just putting it back on made the idle go down quite a bit. I still have a slightly higher idle than normal, but I have to replace the vacuum distribution module that got damaged during head replacement. Yes, I got a bad mechanic... I should have done the work myself.

Hey I have a B2200 ext cab and my idle was very low, I fixed it by just a philip's screwdriver, the idle screw is just under the air filter to the left side there is just a little place and you can just screw it tighter for a higher idle or loosen it for a lower idle :P.
Hope it helps if not disregard my comment :)
