Transmission replaced at 55000 miles.
CV joints replaced multiple times.
Fuel pump replaced twice.
Heads rebuilt at 120000.
Motor mounts replaced four times.
Water pump failed twice.
Ignition failure.
Power steering hoses replaced twice.
Many oil leaks.
Front end very poor, always something going wrong.
Converter needed replacement.
Dashboard cracking.
Head liner falling apart.
Major failure of air conditioning system.
The car was a pleasure to drive when new. I had noticed early on that the front end was a major problem. This car has cost thousands to keep running.
I could not agree more with the owner of the 90 Ford Taurus L,
because I also own a same year car, and have had very similar issues with the vehicle - I definitely would not purchase a Ford Taurus again! The cost of repairs on the car equalled the cost of a new car over time, calculating the cost of general monthly maintenance. I should had sold this car a long time ago and save $$$$$$ of money, plain common sense!
