The belt tensioner broke at 160,000 miles. I made a new one in the shop at work.
I also replaced the driver side c/v axle with a used one from an 1987 Caravan.
This car is a great get me around town car. great gas mileage.
I bought the car from my uncle who used the car for a delivery business with no problems.
This car should reach well into 200,000 miles with scheduled maintenance.
The ac still works great. It has been converted to r134a refrigerant.
I also painted the car in my garage for 30 dollars.
It's roomy, but I could do without the rattles.
I agree that it's reliable I have one that was my sisters first car and I've been souping it up I took the standard wheels off of it and put 12" in the front 14" in the back I used cragar s/S. wheels and used 80 series tiers in the front and 50 series in the back and put a custom lift off fiberglass hood with a raramcharger and a zex wet efi system and a set of stight pipes a K&n coold air intake and I took out all of the intereer and put all stainless steel in place of it and bucket seets and a tachometer and a reproduction dodge chager 120mph speedometer
