Water pump went out at94886 whitch was not bad, but have problems with the head#2 exhaust keept burning, but found the converter was at fault, the 5 speed manual has a problem with leaking gear oil on the clutch and makeing it slipp, the transmission has had 2 front seals installed and keeps leaking. so guess what,i am putting a automatic trans in my little guy,also I have 3 other metros and love them so,don't ask to by one from me because these little cars are hard to find.
The car is fun to drive in all weather, but don't follow trucks on the interstate to close or you will get swallowed up.
The geo metro's do have problems with leaking manual transmissions on the 95-97 models also the head problem is caused by too small of converters on the exhaust systems, larger capacity converters are avalible
at your local muffler shops.
This will stop valve burning on the 1.0l engiene
