Nearside front door lock has failed twice in first 4,000 miles.
Annoying rattle in dash about to be fixed.

True luxury. Outstanding economy 37 mpg average and never less than 30 mpg even hacking it. Add very low depreciation and you have good value.
More power wouldn't go amiss.
Very happy, but, knowing what I know now I would pay a bit more for the 323.
You must tell me your secret, I never get better than 23mpg in urban use out of mine!
I was the original poster for this 318i.
Now replaced with a Freelander, but I never got below 30 mpg, although it was used weekends and longer journeys rather than local.
Expanding family required a bigger boot, but BMW make superb cars (and Freelander engines).
