One month after purchasing my trooper the glow plugs were replaced due to starting problems in the morning.
After six months I experienced overheating.
The vehicle was taken to the dealer for examination. The head was removed and was found to be very slightly distorted. This was machined. One thousandth of an inch was taken off and the head refitted. Still the problem persisted.
After stripping the engine again, a crack was found on the bore.
Warranty company have refused to pay for this fault as they say overheating caused the crack to appear. This has been found to be untrue, in other words the crack caused the overheating.
Apart from mechanical failure the trooper was a very good car.
It had bags of power and was really nice to drive.
Lots of cabin space.
I'm sorry, but I Live in Puerto Rico and Here We Have A Lots Of Holes In Our Pavement. Lots ofStop And Go And Climbings And My Foot Is A Little Heavy And I Got A Little More Than 350,000 Miles In My Trooper And Still Running Nice, but A Little Overheating is beginning, but I'm going To Put a New Engine Because 350,000 miles is too much mileage and I don't want to repair it. the only thing I can say is that I Think That the Isuzu trooper 88-91 Series 4ZE1 Is The Best Of The Best SUV's Ever Engineered. From Bumper To Bumper unless The Cylinder heads. Thanks Rolo
